Theodore "Ted" Stanislawski

Theodore "Ted" Stanislawski of Caro, age 93, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. Ted was born March 18, 1927 in Kermit, North Dakota, the son of the late John and Paulina (Sluzinski) Stanislawski. He was united in marriage with the former Rose Bennick at Saint Francis DeSales Church in Detroit on April 17, 1948. Following fifty-eight years of marriage, Rose preceded him in death on November 21, 2005. Ted retired from Chrysler Corporation as a skilled trades upholsterer, and through the years was continually sought after for his expert workmanship in restoring antique cars. Ted is survived by four sons and their spouses, Timothy & Valerie Stanislawski of Plymouth, Thomas & Jeri Ann Stanislawski of Gaines, Gregory Stanislawski of Millington, and Joseph & Catherine Stanislawski of Milford; four grandsons, Gregory, Nathan, Alex and Justin; and four granddaughters, Melissa, Roselyn, Sara and Jenna. In addition to his parents and wife, Ted was the last of his generation as he was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Pleasant View Free Methodist Church, 8643 North Lapeer Road (M-24), Mayville, MI 48744 with Pastor Bruce Crockett officiating. Burial will be at a later time at St. Michael Cemetery in Wilmot.
