Theresa M. Dezelsky, 66, of Caseville, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.
Terry was born January 17, 1945 in Detroit to the late Hugh and Beatrice (MacKay) Montgomery. She graduated from Redford Union High School in 1962. On May 10, 1986 she married James E. Dezelsky at Bintz Apple Mountain in Saginaw.
Terry worked as a marketer and underwriter for Meadowbrook Insurance in Southfield. In 1998 she moved from Redford to a home she and her husband had built in Caseville. Together they owned and operated the GNC Store in Caro. She was a member of the Caseville Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed her home, especially cooking, gardening, entertaining and the company of her beloved Labradors.
She is survived by her husband James; children Wendy (Glenn) Waas of Lake City, FL, Linda (Charles) Martin of Woodbridge, VA, and Patty (Raymond) Palombit of Dearborn; step-children Jeff (Laura) Dezelsky of Milford, Brian (Tracy) Dezelsky of Anaheim, CA, and Jennifer Dinsmore of Yucaipa, CA; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; and brother Thomas Montgomery of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tanya Lynn Hart.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 16th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.
Visitation will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. An Eagles Auxiliary Ritual will begin at 2:00 pm.
