Theron C. Mclellan

Theron C. McLellan of Caro, age 86, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Theron was born May 22, 1934 in Caro, the tenth of eleven children born to the late Charles and Dorothy (Putnam) McLellan. He was united in marriage with the former Sylvia Maria Martinez on June 13, 1955 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2018. Theron proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army. He was employed with General Motors at Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry for thirty years prior to his retirement. Theron enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and keeping his yard immaculate. Theron is survived by seven children and their spouses, Debra McLellan of Washington, Carl & Kim McLellan of Pinconning, Linda & Keith Park of Oregon, Gary & Mary McLellan of West Olive, Dorothy & Randy Hunt of Millington, Marty McLellan of Caro, Lisa McLellan; daughter-in-law, Lori McLellan of Grand Rapids; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren. Theron has been reunited with his wife, Sylvia; parents; two sons, Ruben and Roger McLellan; one granddaughter, Marilyn; and siblings, Earl, Harlan, Adrian, Raymond, Eugene, Lawrence, Gerald, Maxine, Celia, and Marion. Funeral services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Pophal officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery with military honors afforded by the U.S. Army and Caro VFW Post #4164.
