Thomas Joseph Allen

Thomas Joseph Allen of Akron, age 52, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his home. Tom was born August 8, 1968 in Saginaw. He was a former truck driver and a stay at home dad. Tom was a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, working on vehicles, and most of all, helping others. Tom is survived by his wife, Blair, and their son, Aaden; two daughters, Ivory and Carlie Allen; one son, Thomas Allen; his mother, Lucy Scott; brothers, George and Ronald Allen; three sisters and their spouses, Peggy Allen, Laura (Kevin) McCluskey, Judith (Ronald) Talaski; four sisters-in-law and their spouses, Jennifer (Ryan) Farwell, Samantha Jones, Victoria Kogut, Scotti-ana (Doug) Willy; mother- and father-in-law, Wanda and John Gorney; adopted dad, Joseph Capistrant; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father, George Harold Allen; step-father, Douglas Scott; three sisters and their spouses, Margaret (James) Tyson, Terri (Ron) Hoon, Sheryl (Clyde) Webb; niece, Kayla Rolland, nephew, Marcus Hoon; and great-nephew, Zachary Tyson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Timothy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Demorest Cemetery in Akron. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Blair Kogut, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
