Thomas Lamont Babiszewski, age 55 of Moody, TX formerly of Elkton died December 7, from a bronchial infection.
He was born November 26, 1955 in Bad Axe to Fanny Babiszewski and the late Mike Babiszewski. Tom grew up in Elkton and graduated from Lakers High School in June of 1973. He enlisted in the military under early enlistment in February of 1973 but was medically discharged in October due to knee problems.
Before his father died in 1981, he promising him he would take care of his mother, and his younger sisters and brothers, Thomas stepped up to the plate to take care of his family. A truly selfless man, Thomas spent his twenties working at local factories in order to support his large family. Destined to travel he began driving trucks in his early thirties. On the road in 1988, Thomas met Melody Kay Anderson, the love of his life. Little did he know when she stepped out of her 18 wheeler, that one day she would be his wife. They went from friends to driving partners to soul mates, and on April 17, 1992 they were married and moved to Texas. Residing in Moody, TX since 1994, he spent the past sixteen years working for McLane’s in Temple, TX

Surviving are wife, Melody of Moody, TX, his son, Kenneth (Patty) Armstead of Moody, TX, formerly of Elkton his mother, Fanny "Becky" Babiszewski-Nieschulz of Pigeon, MI, his six sisters, Nola (Tim) Powell, Ortonville, , Michelle (John) Shields of Christ Church. New Zealand, Andrea (Ron) Kirkpatrick of Kinde, Rebecca (John) Wiederhold of Elkton, Ramona (Doug) Wallace of Burton, Kendra (Chris) Matthews of Clarkston, his two brothers, Richard Babiszewski of Pigeon, Robert (Barb) Babiszewski of Ubly; 2 grand-daughters; 5 great grandchildren and a wealth of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Tom was preceded in death his step-father, Lyle Nieschulz.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday December 11, 2010, 10:00 A.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, Moody, TX.
