Thomas Ernest Barr

Thomas E. Barr, 77, of Caseville died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born August 12, 1939 in Detroit to the late Ernest and Jeane (Moody) Barr. He graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1958. He served 3 years in the US Army stationed in Germany. On September 23, 1961 he married Anne Novick in Royal Oak; she preceded him in death on March 24, 2004.

Tom retired from Michigan Bell as a district manager in 1994. Upon retiring he moved from Saginaw to Caseville. He was a past president of the Goodrich Lions Club and Caseville Eagles Club.

He is survived by his son Mike of Lake Orion and daughter Shelia of Florida; grandchildren Katie and Freddy; brother William James of Madison Heights; and longtime companion Carol Drabek of Caseville. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Thomas.

Private funeral services will be held. Inurnment will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorials in his memory may be directed to the Caseville Eagles Scholarship Fund.
