Thomas Edward Bower, age 91, of Caro passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Rendon Young at Heart AFC Home in Caro. He was born on April 20, 1919 in North Branch to the late Gregory and Gertrude (Robinet) Bower. On July 16, 1941 Thomas Bower married the former Naomi Wilcox in Toledo, Ohio. She preceded him in death earlier in the week. They had lived the remainder of their lives in Tuscola and Lapeer Counties. Tom was in the Civilian Conservation Corps, and then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Ault DD 698. He observed the peace signing aboard the USS West Virginia BB48. Upon his return, he returned to farming and eventually worked for the Michigan DNR as a Game Manager. He and his wife spent much of their life enjoying each others company, and also enjoyed both listening to and playing music. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing and the Bowers spent a lot of time at their cabin in Mio as well as wintering in Florida. He was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church, Theron W.
