Thomas Devine

Thomas DeVine of Caro, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Covenant Health Care – Cooper in Saginaw with his loving family by his side. Tom served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1961 and was a heavy equipment mechanic in the Detroit area for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going to the casino. Most importantly, was time spent with family, and his dogs, Dixie and Molly.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy (Myers) DeVine; three children and their spouses, Thomas, Jr. & Jami (Ellis) DeVine, Debra (DeVine) & Keith Burns, Lisa (DeVine) Boulton; eight grandchildren and their spouses; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; four step-grandchildren and spouses; seven step-great-grandchildren and spouses; one step-great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Cecelia Bender and Janice Woodward. Tom was preceded in death by his son, Mark DeVine; his grandson, Tyler DeVine; and two brothers, Charles and David DeVine.

Tom’s family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Prayers, followed by military honors afforded by the U.S. Air Force and Caro American Legion Post #7, will begin at 6:00 p.m. A time to share memories will follow military honors.

Tom will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and heart of gold.
