Thomas Melvin Gibbs

Thomas Melvin Gibbs of Caro, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home. Tom was born March 18, 1952 in Bay City, the son of the late Melvin and Ernestine (Brock) Gibbs. He had been employed with Luckhardt Nursery, Michigan Sugar Company, and Indianfields Township. Tom attended Juniata Baptist Church. He loved music, especially Elvis, NASCAR, his hat collection, walking along VG's strip mall, mudbogging, and most importantly, being around his family. Tom is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Vernita & Don Loeffler of Sebewaing, Joyce Smith of Bay City, Donna & Clare Schuette of Cass City, Ronald Gibbs of Caro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Gibbs; one sister, Shirley Ann Gibbs; and four half-siblings, Weldon Gibbs, Charles Gibbs, Emilyn Ogden and Geraldine Jacob. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Lyle Ohman, Juniata Baptist Church, officiating.
