Thomas William Nowakowski

Thomas William Nowakowski of Caro, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family and beloved sister, Linda Nowakowski. He was born April 1, 1947 in Caro, the son of the late William and Amelia (Yens) Nowakowski. Thomas retired from General Motors in Flint Michigan after forty years, where he was fondly known as “Mr. Buick.” He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, who loved to fish for Northern Pike. Thomas loved his family and will be missed dearly.

He married his wife Mary “Sue” Findlay in 1965, and they had two sons, Thomas William, Jr. and Eric Raymond, and daughter-in-law, Sheila Dykes. He is also survived by grandson, Randy William and family, Faith Spencer, two great-grandsons, Carter and Maverick; and two great-granddaughters, Marilyn and Lily.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
