Thomas Watterworth

Thomas F. Watterworth, age 75, of Sebewaing died Friday morning, April 16, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
He was born May 13, 1927 in Wyandotte, to the late Fred and Marion (Irish) Watterworth and grew up in Chandler Twp.

Tom was a 1944 graduate of Elkton High School. He joined the Army shortly after and served in the Army Air Force during WW II. On August 31, 1946, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Dietzman at the Lutheran Chapel on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison. When he returned to the area, he worked on the family farm for a time then worked at the Wallace and Morley Elevator, in Elkton a number of years. In 1956, he began working at General Telephone and retired from the marketing and sales division of GTE in 1984. Shortly after retiring they moved to Sebewaing.
He was a member of the Chandler Presbyterian Church, Caseville Eagles Club and Jean Posts # 543 American Legion, Caseville.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou; his daughter, Barbara (Bill) Gielow of Marlette; three grandchildren, Michael, Chuck and Mary; three brothers, Robert of Venice, FL, Alan of Flushing and Glenn (Elaine) of Sterling Hts. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Bruce and Richard.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday morning, April 19, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Caseville. Rev. Michael Quayle, pastor of the Caseville United Methodist Church will officiate with burial in the Caseville Twp. Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Scheurer Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 PM Sunday and after 10 AM Monday at the funeral Home.
