Timothy Dee Andress of Caro, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw with his family by his side. Tim was born February 2, 1953 in Cass City, the son of the late J.D. and Eva M. (Roe) Andress. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1971 and went on to attend Olivet Nazarene College. Tim was an over-the-road truck driver, worked for Wolverine Human Services for over ten years, and was a licensed Nazarene Minister. On July 3, 2009, Tim married the love of his life, the former Ruth (Cross) Kirk, in a beautiful backyard ceremony. Their marriage was blessed with over fourteen years and many wonderful memories. Tim was a member of the Ellington Church of the Nazarene and a dedicated man of faith. He lived his life selflessly and his acts of kindness knew no bounds, always giving all he could to others. Tim believed in the art of enriching communities through a life dedicated to adding wealth not just in financial terms, but in the richness of human connections and kindness. Tim, a true man of integrity, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for his family and those in need.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; children, Jennifer (Tom) Morse of Wolverine, Ray Andress of Charlottesville, Virginia, James Andress of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Timothy (M.J.) Andress of Chicago, Illinois; Ruth’s children, Mike (Brenda) Kirk of Caro, Dave (Candy) Kirk of Caro, and Jen (Gordy) Brown of Lake Orion; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Jay (Barb) Andress of Mooresville, North Carolina, Terry (Sue) Andress of Coldwater, and Pam (Jack) Hurless of Florence, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Kay (Bob) Berry.
Funeral services will be held at the Ellington Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Boulton officiating. Burial will follow at the Ellington Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. and again at church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of his service. Tim lived his life by the principle of leaving the world better than he found it, a philosophy he instilled in his children. Today, his children continue to uphold this guiding principle in their own lives.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. and again at church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of his service.
Ellington Church of the Nazarene
Funeral services will be held at the Ellington Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Boulton officiating.
