Timothy Thomas Ball, 74, of Fairgrove died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Tim was born on May 9, 1949 to Norman and Mamie (Southgate) Ball in Bay City. He graduated from Unionville High School in 1967 and married Ann Marie McCreedy on October 10, 1970 at the Fairgrove United Methodist Church.
Tim attended Northeastern School of Commerce in Bay City. He was employed by the State of Michigan at the Caro Regional Center for 32 years before retiring in 2001. He worked as an electrician and waterworks system operator and enjoyed every day at work. Tim loved to fix things and was on call to his family and friends for home repairs.
Tim loved fishing and hunting with his sons and grandchildren. Being at the cabin with them was his favorite thing to do. He enjoyed traveling with his family while playing first base for the Akron Merchants and camping with the McCreedy family for 43 years. Tim randomly broke out in song and often played the guitar and harmonica to entertain his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Fairgrove United Methodist Church and served as a trustee for many years.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ann Marie; two sons and their families, Jeremy and Kelly Ball of Caro, and their children, Brennan Thomas, Mackenna Ann and her fiancé, Preston, Raegan Marie, Maddelyn Charlee, and Caeley Joy; Jason and Angela Ball of Essexville, and their children, Audrey Diana, Addison Therese, and Hunter Timothy; daughter-in-law, Lacey Ball of Essexville and children, Carlie Lynn and Cade Thomas; great-grandson, Harrison; brother, Blaine Ball; and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Eric Garlick.
Tim was preceded in death by his son, Jordan; parents, Norman and Mamie Ball; brother, Terry Ball; sister-in-law, Yvonne Ball; and in-laws, John and Joy McCreedy and Wallace Ruppert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Fairgrove United Methodist Church with Pastor James Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.
