Timothy Lee "Pooh" Bowman

Timothy Lee "Pooh" Bowman, age 70, passed away unexpectedly at his apartment in Dunedin, Florida, on Friday, June 3, 2022. Tim was born to Carl and Virginia (Wean) Bowman on August 7, 1951. They preceded him in death. Tim graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1969. He went on to attend Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University, where he earned an associate degree in music and fine arts. He was a full-time or part-time musician from the age of fourteen on, playing electric bass in numerous bands and musical projects in Michigan and Florida. Tim appeared on stage and in the recording studio with literally hundreds of fellow musicians, including the famous, and occasionally, the infamous. At the time of his passing, he was the bassist in Sal Beloise and the Sticky Buds, as well as Chris and Sammy's Jam Group. He was also a fine arranger of musical pieces, and often joked that "the Beatles ruined me for any other kind of work!". This was not entirely true, as Tim was a sought-after interior/exterior painter during his many years living in Florida. Mr. Bowman liked to assume the role of an enigma, wrapped in a conundrum, shrouded by a mystery. He loved to joke, and could turn a crowd to either laughteror total confusion. A hard-nosed perfectionist in both music and painting, Tim was totally incapable of throwing anything away (he might need it sometime in the future). Left to cherish Tim's memory are his twin brother, Thomas, of Caro; brother-in-law, Carl Nemeth of Sarasota, Florida; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Beier Bowman, of Boyne City; nieces, Lindsay (Patrick) Quigley of Lutz, Florida, Jamie (Bryce) Olson of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Ashley (Brent) Cooper of Grand Rapids; nephews, Corey (Katie) Bowman of Kentwood, Stephen (Amanda) Nemeth of Lake Tapps, Washington, and Nickolas Nemeth of Lutz, Florida; eighteen great- nieces and nephews; cousins, Pat Mix of Texas, Lynn (Jim) Shuttenberg of Arizona, and Charles Ensign of Ohio; special Florida friends, Christian & Mary Todd Bartholomew; many close friends and bandmates from Michigan and Florida; and "Piglet". In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his loving sister, Carla Bowman Nemeth; and his dear cousin, Mary Lou Bowman Ensign. As per Tim's wishes, no formal service has been arranged. My candle burns at both ends, it will not last the night. But ah, my foes, and oh, my friendsit gives a lovely light! -Edna St. Vincent Millay
