Timothy R. Dufty, 66, of Pigeon, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 surrounded by family at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw after a long battle with cancer.
Tim was born September 21, 1958 in Pigeon to the late William and Marie (Miles) Dufty. In 1977 he graduated from Caseville High School. He married Barbara Heine on November 24, 1982 in Bad Axe.
Tim worked at Village Castings, TJ Rental and Evenheat Kiln Co in Caseville. He was a member of the Caseville Eagles Club and Caseville Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed small engine repair, vacationing with his wife and time spent on the back deck. He was devoted to his grandkids, never missing an event for them. Tim was a humble man who preferred staying out of the spotlight, he wanted to make sure everyone else was taken care of before himself.
Tim is survived by his wife Barbara; daughters Jennifer (Sean) Smith and Trista (Tyler) Thormeier; grandchildren Ultan and Bodie Dunn and Roscoe Thormeier; siblings Cindy Smith, D’Ann (Dick) McLean, Danny Dufty (Sharon), Ladonna Dufty, Jan McCrimmon, and Terese (Steve) Umphrey. He was preceded in death by his in-laws Gebhard and Theresia Heine, brothers-in-law Richard Heine and Fritz Smith, and brother Billy Joe Dufty.
A memorial service will begin at 11:00am Wednesday, September 17th at the Caseville Eagles Club, 7017 E. Park Street, followed by a luncheon. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
The family would like to thank the staff at Covenant Health Care for their compassionate and professional care during his time in the hospital, especially nurse Jacob.
