Tom Allen Wark of Akron, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Country Comfort Spectrum of Light AFC Home in Caro. Tom was born April 23, 1947 in Bay City, the son of the late Ralph and Betty (Keyser) Wark. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army. Tom married the former Peggy Lee Marker on August 3, 1968 in Wisner. Their marriage was blessed with countless memories and an abundance of love. Sadly, Peggy passed away on October 28, 2022. Tom worked at General Motors Powertrain Bay City for over thirty-three dedicated years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons and working on cars, restoring many vehicles to their former glory. A jack of all trades, Tom was always busy with a project in his garage. He loved golfing and spending time at Beadle Bay Marina in Caseville, boating and jet skiing with his family. Tom and Peggy always looked forward to taking their children and grandchildren on trips to Florida, visiting the Disney World parks, and enjoying Disney cruises. He was a wonderful and devoted family man who would do anything for them.
Tom leaves to cherish his memory his children, Steve (Heather) Wark of Fairgrove, Troy (Candi) Wark of Caro, and Angela (Rich) Weisenberger of Macomb Township; grandchildren, Alyssa Wark, Mat (Abbie) Wark, Peyton Wark, Logan (Austin) Gonzales, Dystani Wark, Caden Weisenberger, Cody Weisenberger, Ashley (Brad) Phelps, and Rachael Kochan; great-grandchildren, Penelope Reynero, Cristobal Reynero, Jr., Alex Wark, Harper Wark, Eliza Phelps, Lukas Phelps, Bradyn Rands, and Hayden Kochan; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Vandecar, Pat (Mike) Jones, and Randy Wark.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Country Comfort AFC Home and First State Hospice for their exceptional care and for going above and beyond in looking after Tom.
