Tony Wayne Welch

Tony Wayne Welch of Caro, age 58, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his home where he lived with his girlfriend, Kim Boyle. Tony and Kim were together for more than five years. Tony was born December 30, 1961 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, the son of Lillian F. (Roberts) Welch and the late Marvin D. Welch, Jr. Tony loved working on his home and painting and restoring his equipment for what was once his handyman business until his health started failing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping them in any way he could. He also helped in the community doing work for the elderly and chaired AA meetings in the past, earning his five year coin. He will be greatly missed. Tony is survived by his mother and step-father, Lillian & Ernie Gerstenberger; his siblings and their spouses, Penny Welch, Teresa Zechmeister and significant other, Harold Schrader, Jr., Patty Welch & Joey Szcygiel, Ronda & Dave Holzworth, David & Cathy Welch; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory, and Greg's only child, Stephanie Wilcox; and a sister, Debra Enos. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
