Tracy L. Bennett of Caro, age 51, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Tracy was born August 10, 1965 in Marlette, the son of the late Earl LeRoy & Sharon Lee (Matthews) Bennett and graduated from North Branch High School with the class of 1984. He learned his life's passion of cooking as a child from his grandmother, Elizabeth Bennett. His entire working career was spent in the restaurant industry, working as a chef for several area restaurants including E. G. Nick's Grill & Tavern in Lapeer, J. J. Jamokes and Club 24, both in Caro. Tracy participated with the Caro Lions Club and worked at the Lions Den every year during the Tuscola County Fair. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, planting tulips and taking care of his yard. Tracy enjoyed being around children because he was really a kid at heart. He loved to fly kites and entertain people with elaborate fireworks shows. Tracy was a loving father to Earl Bennett and Lisa Berlin; grandfather to Tyler, Zachary, Hailey and Aliyah Berlin; brother to Randy, Wendi, Jeff, Barry, Scott and Tim. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, Earl Brace; and dear friend, Paula Meyer. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Tracy's life on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
