Travis Cruise Vella

Travis Cruise Vella, age 42, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Travis was born August 9, 1976 in Caro, the son of Cary Vella & April Malis. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1994 and later attended college. Travis spent many years as a sous chef while living in Florida and was employed for the past four years with the Unionville-Sebewaing Area School District. His life revolved around his children and he'll be remembered for the positive influence he had on those around him. Spare time was often spent playing video games, camping, and driving fast cars and motorcycles. Travis also loved movies, music and books, and possessed a worldly knowledge of countless subjects. Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Caleah and Koda Vella of Sebewaing; and their mother, Jamie Collon-Vella of Sebewaing; his parents, Cary & Julie Vella of Caro, April Malis of Ann Arbor; two siblings, Tracy Vella of Essexville, Trent Vella of Waterford; paternal grandmother, Mabel Swisher of Caro; maternal grandfather and his wife, Julius & Sandra Malis of Caro; one nephew, Theron Vella-Garrett of Essexville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends across the country. In keeping with Travis' wishes, cremation has taken place and no services have been planned at this time.
