Ulla B. Snider

Ulla B. Snider, age 93 of Elkton died Sunday morning November 25, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
She was born November 5, 1914, at the home of her parents, the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Nelson) Farver in Chandler Twp.
On October 30, 1942, she was united in marriage to Orville H. Snider at the Elkton Evangelical Church parsonage.
Ulla and Orville lived and raised their family in Elkton. After retiring they spent their winters in Zephyr Hills, FL for over 25 years. Orville preceded her in death August 31, 2001.
Ulla was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Elkton Study Club and the Worth Study Club. She and Orville enjoyed traveling some, but biggest joy was being with family and friends. In more recent years, she became very active at the Medical Care Facility, serving as vice president of the Activities at the Medical Care, staying busy organizing and helping with most of the activities
Surviving are two children, Terry (Darlene) Snider of Bay City and Kay (Ken) Thumme of Elkton; four grandchildren, Kari (Scott) Briesmiester of Elkton, Korney (Michelle) Thumme of Essexville, Cory Snider and Jordan Snider of Bay City; two great grandchildren, Logan and Madison Briesmiester; two brothers, Floyd Farver of Elkton and Clifford Farver of Oak Beach and two sisters, Flossie Maynard of Pinnebog and Luella Connors of Filion. Preceding her in death were four sisters, Bertha Gilbert, Bessie Furness, Helen Wichert and Lila Wilson and her brother, Henry Farver.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 28, at the Elkton United Methodist Church. Rev. David Collins, pastor will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 3 to 9 PM Tuesday and at the church after 10 AM Wednesday.
Memorial may be given to the Activities Fund at the Huron County Medical Care facility or the American Diabetes Assn.
