Vachel Medley, age 79, of the community of Shay Lake, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at United Hospice Residence in Marlette. He was born on January 29, 1930 in Winona, West Virginia. The funeral service will be held at the Shay Lake Non-Denominational Christian Church on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the church on Thursday at the time of service. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home.
