Valeria Marie Corradi, age 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 16, 2009 at The Crows Nest in Cass City. She was born on December 11, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Alex and Ethel (Prayner) Csutoras. The former Valeria Csutoras married Louis A. Corradi, Sr. in April of 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1980. They came to Michigan as a young married couple, first to Detroit and then to Tuscola County. Val was employed at the Caro Regional Center as a housekeeper until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caro and the Women of the Moose. Val enjoyed crafts, oil painting and crocheting. She was a roller skate dancer and golfer late into her life. She is survived by two sons, Louis Corradi, Jr. of Rochester Hills and Daniel (Helen) Corradi of Caro; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Ewald of Hale and Helen Osborn of Akron; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, David Corradi. The funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Caro on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Caro.
