Valerie E. Linzner

Valerie "Thumper" Ellen Linzner, age 76, of Sebewaing, passed away on February 28, 2020. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Arnold and Beaulah (Gotham) Krauss on January 11, 1944.

Valerie attended Sebewaing High School. She was an active member of New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, where she was a member of Ladies Aid, Go Getters and also sang in the choir. Valerie loved the Lord, spending time with family, watching her grandkids, crocheting and talking on the phone with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing the accordion, reading to the children at school and enjoyed traveling.

Valerie is survived by her three children, JoVal (Dave) Deering, Carnel (William) Fader, and Mark (Missy) Linzner. Grandchildren, Michael (Chelsi) Linzner, Marcus (Ashley) Deering, Michalla Fader, Marissa, Morgan and Madelyn Linzner. Three great grandchildren, Duncan, Wyatt and Victor Linzner. Step- sisters, Shelby Hofmeister, Sandy Strieter, Fran Davis and several step- nieces and nephews.

Valerie is preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life John Linzner and step- brothers, Gene Hofmeister, Barry Strieter and Don Davis.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8p.m.

The Funeral service will be Monday, March 2, 2020, at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, visitation will begin at the church at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery for immediate family only.

Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church.
