Verneta Schuster

Verneta Schuster, age 97 of Macomb formerly of the Owendale area died Monday afternoon, December 29, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born July 13, 1911, at the home of her parents, the late Charles and Louise (Steinman) Fritz in Brookfield Twp.
After high school Verneta moved to the Detroit area, where she met George Schuster. They married August 16, 1929 in Detroit.
Verneta was a home maker all her life and raised four children. She attended St. Peter's Church in Macomb.
Surviving are three children, Irene (William) Smith of Lima, OH, Jane (Henry) Schrodt of Macomb and Arthur (Delores) Schuster of Ashville, NC; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren; five siblings, Leonard (Leona) Fritz, Aldine Ewald, Matt (Margaret) Fritz, Luella Ewald and Richard Fritz all of Elkton.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Leonard and George Schuster and five brothers, Norman, Otis, Wallace, Willard and Calvin Fritz.
Funeral will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, January 1, at the Elkton United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 3 to 8 PM Wednesday and at the church after 10 AM Thursday.
Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
