Vicente Hernandez Lugo, age 80, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 22, 1932 in Donna, Texas, the son of the late Pedro and Angelita (Hernandez) Lugo. He worked at Daily Pickle. Vicente loved to tinker with small motors, especially lawnmowers. He is survived by his six children, Juanita Stricker and her husband, Robert, Jaime Lugo, Guadalupe Lugo and his wife, Theresa, Monica Facundo, Rosita Lugo, Margarita Crutcher and her husband, Kenny; four sisters, Rita Aguirre, Amparo “Mary” Guerra and her husband, Antonio, Cora Rodriguez, Delores Mora; three brothers, Francisco, Guadalupe and Adam Lugo; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ricarda, and his daughter, Felicia Lugo, USAF. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 2395 Outer Drive, Saginaw, Michigan with Fr. John Mancini, OSFS officiating. Burial will be at Gilford Township Cemetery in Gilford. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.
