Victor James Lynch, age 65, of Caro passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at his home. He was born on January 30, 1946 in DeKalb, Illinois to the late Leonard and Adele (Petrocchi) Lynch. Vic graduated from DeKalb High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. On October 1, 1966 he was united in marriage with Georgene Battles at Anchorage, Alaska. They returned to Illinois for about five years and in 1977 they moved to Caro. He was employed for a number of years as Plant Superintendent at Walbro and also owned and operated Sports World in Caro. Vic was a past member of the Caro Lions Club, Tuscola Archery Club, and the A.M.A. He loved riding his motorcycle, flying R. C. Airplanes which he designed, using his metal detector, and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Georgene; two sons, Michael (Kathleen) Lynch of Freeland, and Andrew Lynch of Owosso; six grandchildren, Jessica, Courtney, twins Morgan and Riley, Coburn and Emerson, all at home; two brothers, Bill (Kathy) Lynch of Aloha, Oregon and Mike (Cheryl) Lynch of Cary, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Tyson Ferguson officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or Lutheran Home Care Hospice of Hope.
