Vincent M. Staub, age 42, of Caseville passed away Sunday evening, April 8, at his home while under hospice care. Vince fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and he remained active and humorous through it all.
He was born January 7, 1970 to the late Albert and Charlotte Staub in Pittsburg, PA. After high school, Vince moved to New Port Richey, FL, where he was employed on several shrimp boats, and was known to many as Gus.
There he met Patti L. Benda in 1989 and they moved to Caseville. They were married February 14, 1992 until 2000.
Vince was employed at the Blue Water Inn in Caseville for many years. He enjoyed time spent with friends, playing pool, music, his stepsons, Brad and Brandon and his dog, Rocky, but most of all playing his guitar.
Surviving are his daughter Jamie of Pittsburg; ex-wife, Patti; stepsons, Brad and Brandon Zinger of Pigeon; two brothers, Jeff of Florida and Gregg of Texas; and his stepmothers, Dana Keigabine of Gainsville, FL and Rose Staub Gilroy of Pottersville, PA.
Preceding him in death was his parents and a brother, Barry Staub.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.
