Viola N. "Vi" Sugden

Viola N. “Vi” Sugden of Caro, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Viola was born September 28, 1932 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Herbert and Agnes (Street) Tolfree. She retired from General Cable where she worked as a Machine Operator. Vi loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She always enjoyed time spent with friends, family, and especially her dogs. Vi and her husband Henry found great enjoyment in traveling and sightseeing the United States in their motorhome; especially in Texas and Hawaii.

Left to cherish Viola’s memory are her husband of more than forty-two years, Henry Sugden; six children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six siblings; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Vi was preceded in death by four siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Caro United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Paul Demyanovich officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. The family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
