Virginia M. Bushway

Virginia M. Bushway, 75, of Pigeon, passed away Tuesday May 15th, 2024 at The Village of East Harbor in New Baltimore, Michigan.

Virginia “Ginny” was born August 18,1948 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Antoinette Peraino. In 1967 she graduated from Nativity Catholic High School. She married Earl Bushway II “Butch” on October 30, 1970 in St. Clair Shores; he preceded her in death October 16, 2009.

Ginny is survived by her children Earl Bushway III, Gina (Harold) Blaz, and Joseph Bushway Sr.; grandchildren Madison Bushway, Joseph Bushway Jr., Sophia Schoonveld, and Sylvia Schoonveld; sister Francis Mery; brothers Michael Peraino and Benedict Peraino; and sister-in-law Lynda Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, father and mother-in-law Earl and Helen Bushway, brothers-in-law Richard Mery and Ronald Smith, and sister-in-law Patricia Peraino.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, May 18th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00am to 2:00pm Saturday.
