Virginia O. Doyle, 98, of Caseville, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at Home Sweet Home in Pigeon.
Virginia was born May 29, 1918 in Jackson to the late John and Alma (Ergen) Fagan. She married James T. Doyle on August 2, 1941 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Detroit. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1999.
After having vacationed in Caseville since the 1950's, she and her husband moved to Lake Township permanently in 1976 from Detroit. She was a member of the Caseville Library Club, Sebewaing VFW Auxiliary, St. Roch Women’s Society and the Caseville Eagles Auxiliary, where she served many years as Chaplain.
She is survived by her son James Patrick and daughter Jean Scott, both of Caseville; grandchildren Brian and Sheila; great-grandson Jadon Harris; and brothers Tony (Anne) Fagan of Tennessee and George Fagan of Lexington Heights. She was preceded in death by her brother John Fagan, daughter-in-law Mary Kathleen Doyle and son-in-law Stanley Scott.
A funeral mass will be at 11:00am Thursday, September 1st at St. Roch/OLPH Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with an Eagles Ritual at 5:00pm. She will also lie in-state one hour prior to mass on Thursday in church.
