Virginia Ann Touchette

Virginia Ann Touchette of Caro, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Virginia was born June 12, 1931 in St. Clair, the daughter of the late Arthur & Cynthia (Schweihofer) Simons. She was united in marriage with William J. Touchette on February 11, 1950 in Imlay City, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2014. Virginia worked in the restaurant business for several years, and at one time she operated her own catering business. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Deborah Touchette of Caro, Bob & Becky Touchette of Naples, Florida, Gary & Jane Touchette of Florence, Alabama, Bernie & Theresa Touchette of Clinton Township; six grandchildren, Derek Touchette, Megan Noe, Nathan Touchette, Christopher Touchette, Stephanie Wheeler, Amy Touchette; seven great-grandchildren, Rylie, Mackynze, Brayden, Kasyn, Gavin, Addison and Claire; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Touchette in 2013; two sisters, Marion Sisson, Geraldine Kunetzke; and one brother, Joseph Simons. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart site in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
