Virginia R. Wagner

Virginia R. "Ginny" Wagner of Saginaw, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center in Saginaw. Virginia was born January 10, 1929 in Sebewaing, the daughter of the late Burnell and Lucille (Millerwise) Holden. Ginny loved spending time with her family, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Together with her late husband of thirty-seven years, Don Wagner, she lived in Sandusky where they owned a Century 21 real estate office. After living in northern Michigan on Rifle Lake, they retired to Bradenton, Florida. Virginia is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Deborah (Rev. Dr. Kirk) Ryckman of Omaha, Nebraska, Pam (Michael) Gibson of Bridgeport, Kim Putnam of Davison, Susan (Brad) Houlihan of Saginaw; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Kathy (Forrest) Goyette of Davison, Jon (Mandy) Gibson of Birch Run, Kara (Lt. Commander Ryan, USN) Chappell of Whidbey Island, Washington, Brent Houlihan of Traverse City, Lauren (Casey) Ballou of Omaha, Nebraska, Andrew (Chrissy) Putnam of Fenton, and Jenny Putnam of Dallas, Texas. Ginny was also blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren, Renee, Erica, Garrett and Benjamin Goyette, Abby and Everitt Gibson, Sophie and Emma Chappell, Barrett, Hallie and Cece Ballou, Raelyn and Avery Putnam; nieces, Patricia (Dr. Roy) Cohen of New Rochelle, New York, Mary Chris Holden of Chicago, Illinois and nephew, David Holden of San Francisco, California. Ginny was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Holden; and sister-in-law, Donna. In keeping with Virginia's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment with immediate family will take place in Port Sanilac. A celebration of life memorial service and luncheon will be held in Caro.
