Vivian Joyce Smith

Vivian J. Smith, age 77, of Gagetown, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at her home.

Vivian was born May 5, 1940, in Oregon, to Glen and Josephine (Brill) Yenglin. She married Richard Smith on January 25, 1964. She was the proud owner and operator of Oakland Orthopedic from 1971 to present. She also was co-owner of Smith Alpaca Acres. She enjoyed donating to many local charities, was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church (Columbia Corners), and loved spending time with her family.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Debbie Williams, Timothy Smith, Roxanne (Charles) Hahn, Wanda (Jamey) Weirauch, Larry (Jodi) Smith and Corey (Lesley) Smith; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings: Marvin (Suzie) Yenglin, Doris (John) Seley and Neal Yenglin, and many nieces and nephews.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Josephine Yenglin; daughter, Rebecca Worley; and sister, Elaine Turner.

A memorial visitation is planned for Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm.

The memorial service will be Thursday, August 3, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church (Columbia Corners). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
