W. Opal Dufty

W. Opal Dufty, age 95, of Gotts Corner near Caseville died Wednesday evening, September 5, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe.
She was born November 30, 1911 in Bach to the late Joseph and Anna (Ewald) Roth and lived in the Elkton/Caseville area all her life.
On March 15, 1938, she was united in marriage to Roy L. Dufty in Defiance, OH. He preceded her in death January 21, 1987.
Opal was an Avon representative for over 50 years retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Caseville United Methodist Church, Worthy Study Club and Rush Lake Farm Bureau. Opal loved flower gardening, watching birds and enjoyed her cats. She especially loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Peggy) Dufty of Sand Point and Jim (Jane) Dufty of Weidman; her daughter, Gail (Kurt) Richmond of Caseville; nine grandchildren, Tina, Andrea, Jeff, Kimberly, Rick, Suzy, Tammy, Jessica and Kristen and ten great grandchildren, Sarah, Brandon, Sawyer, Lillian, Lucas, Leia, Leif, Boden, Taggart and Erik
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Keith and Gerald Roth and four sisters, Bea Hill, Joan Dean, Ruth Wegner and Arleta Forster
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday at the Caseville United Methodist Church. Rev. Phillip Voss, pastor will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM Friday and at the church after 10 AM Saturday.
Memorials may be given to the Caseville United Methodist Church or Laker High School.
