W. Grace Roman

W. Grace Roman, 83, of Caseville, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Grace was born August 6, 1926 in Fulton, Kentucky to the late Benjamin and Mamie (Snowden) Ferrell. On June 12, 1948 she married Joseph Roman in Kansas City, Kansas. Joseph preceded her in death on August 11, 1992.

Prior to moving to Caseville in 1988, they had lived in Detroit. Grace was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Caseville American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children Joe of Vienna, Ohio, Charlotte (Dale) Delmotte of Pigeon, Sidney (Connie) of Flushing, Ben (Liza) of Covington, Tenn. and Cheryl of Friendship, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leola Matzen of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, parents and sister Sybil Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 1st at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. Michael Goforth officiating. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
