Wade Stephen Rathje

Wade Stephen Rathje, 63, of Elkton, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Scheurer Health in Pigeon.

Wade was born August 11, 1959 in Pigeon to the late Mark and Myra (Forman) Rathje.  In 1977 he graduated from Laker High School.  Wade retired from Active Feed as a truck driver after over 30 years of employment.  He enjoyed traveling, home improvement projects and spending time with his grandchildren.

Wade is survived by children Hollie (Bill) Myers of Sebewaing and Stephen (April) of Pigeon; girlfriend of 17 years Anna Stroh of Elkton; grandchildren Kaden, Drake, Madeline, and Ethan; siblings Tom (Laurie) of Pigeon, Beverly Bouverette of Elkton, Bonnie Micklash of Bad Axe and Barbara of Bad Axe.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, August 9 at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.  Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at Noon Wednesday and continue until the time of the service.
