Walter Randall

Walter L. Randall, age 85 years, of Decker, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City. He was born on September 3, 1922 in Kingston to the late Lewis and Irene (Wood) Randall. On June 30, 1945 Bud married the former Gene Gugel in Caro, and she preceded him in death on June 12, 1989. Bud married Pauline Rhodes on April 4, 1992, and she preceded him in death in January of 2003. On October 4, 2003 he married the former Pearl (Putnam) (Foster) Wells with her preceding him in death on May 3, 2006. He married the former Margie Meredith on May 22, 2007 in Caro and she survives. Bud was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County and was employed as a machinist at Valenite from 1965 until the time they closed. He has been a lifelong self-employed mechanic and fabricator. He was a member of the Caro Assembly of God Church and loved to play board and card games. Bud was a mentor to all who were interested. He is survived by his wife, Margie Randall; two daughters, Ruthann Turmell of Bay City, and Linda (Mike) Donahue of Port Huron; three grandchildren, Dennis (Lynn) Turmell of Midland, Courtney (Michael) Vigrass of Harrison Township, and Erin (William) Lee of Rochester Hills; three great- grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Adam; one sister, Marjorie Terbush of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three spouses, and three brothers, Harold, Leonard and Basil Randall. The funeral service will be held at the Caro Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Arnold Burger officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Caro Assembly of God Church Building Fund.
