Walter Adiel Urban

Walter Adiel Urban, of Caro, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, following a lingering illness. He was born July 10, 1944 in Saginaw, the son of the late Peter and Cecilia (Jacques) Urban. Walter enjoyed Bingo, and was a member of the Caro VFW Post 4164 and its honor guard, and an active volunteer and co-chairman for the Tuscola County Senior Citizen Christmas Dinner. Walter is survived by two sons and their spouses, Ed & Laura Shrontz of Caro, Wayne & Renea Shrontz of Columbiaville; eleven grandchildren; a special friend, Marlene; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Janet Urban of Victorville, California; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Urban, Richard Urban and his wife, Jill; one sister, Gaylene Wright; one sister-in-law, Mary Urban; one grandson, Bradley Shrontz in 1997. In keeping with Walter's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Caro VFW Post 4164, 1030 W. Caro Road, Caro with Chris Taylor facilitating. Burial will follow at a later date at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
