Wanda Hood

Wanda Hood, age 82, passed away Friday evening at her home, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was born March 3, 1925 in Caro, the daughter of the late Arnold & Mabel (Taylor) Rock. She was married to Roderick Hood on July 12, 1944 in Caro and owned and operated a farm with him in Dayton Township for over sixty years. Wanda enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, gardening, sewing and doing needlepoint. Wanda is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Roderick Hood of Mayville; three children and their spouses, Roger & Darlene Hood of Caro, Rhonda & Kenneth Rushlo of Mayville, Marsha & Chuck Miller of Caro; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilford Rock of Caro and several nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Reynolds and Marjorie Suranye.
