Wanda M. Vargo

Wanda Vargo of Caro, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her son's home in Caro. Wanda was born July 5, 1950 in Caro, the daughter of the late Jozef and Mary (Kontnik) Habdas. She was united in marriage with Fraser Vargo on July 25, 1970 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro, and preceded her in death on March 17, 2009. Wanda was a loving mother and grandmother, and had worked at Baker Perkins and the Slate AFC Home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and a past member of Thumb Area CB'ers. Wanda enjoyed crocheting and watching movies. Wanda is survived by her four sons, Allen Vargo & Angie Souva, Andrew Vargo & Amanda Kerkau, Anthony Vargo, Alex Vargo & Kyrsti Doktor, all of Caro; five grandchildren, Tabitha, Dalion, Cassandra, Nevaeh and Devin; one great-granddaughter, Sophie; two brothers and their spouses, Stanley & Deborah Habdas, Thaddeus & Alice Habdas, all of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Leland and Theresa. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro with Rev. John Ladd officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
