Wayne Emery

Wayne Emery went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility following a lengthy illness, age 61 years. He was born on January 22, 1945 in Caro, the son of the late Lionel and Rena (Morse) Emery and was a lifelong area resident. Wayne was united in marriage to Ann Botkins on September 30, 1967 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Fairgrove. Wayne worked for the Kroger Company in Caro and Bay City for over thirty-three years, retiring due to disability in 2001. Wayne was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairgrove, where he had served on various boards. He loved to spend time with his family, hunt and fish, play cards and Bingo and watch movies with the family dog, Lady, on his lap. Wayne was a people person - wherever he went, he always knew someone and loved to sit and visit over a cup of coffee. Wayne is survived by his wife, Ann; three children and their spouses, Denise & Stephen Bujalski of Bay City, MI, Grant & Susan Emery of Bessemer, MI, Sarah Emery and her fiance, Jason Hall of Grand Rapids, MI; two beloved granddaughters, Rachel and Kate Emery of Bessemer; one sister, Joanne Crawford of Caro; one brother and sister-in-law, Roy & Margaret Emery of Caro; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Botkins; brother-in-law, Lewis Crawford; nephew, Thomas Crawford and a good friend, Robert Montgomery.
