Wayne Fischer

Wayne Rueben Fischer, age 62, passed away suddenly at his residence following a lingering illness. He was born on March 19, 1949 in Bay City, the son of the late Rueben and Helen (Foss) Fischer. Wayne was a graduate of Unionville High School and a Viet Nam veteran, having served in the United States Army. Wayne was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear until his disability. He enjoyed working on home projects, most of which involved electronics. Wayne liked movies and when he was younger he was a shade tree mechanic. Surviving Wayne are two sons and their spouses, Paul & Molly Fischer of Fairgrove and Shawn & Sarah Fischer of Crystal Falls; four grandchildren, Greydon, Ava, Russell and Scarlett Fischer, all at home; two brothers, Larry & Norma Fischer of Holland, Jonathan Fischer of Port Austin and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Cramer. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the Moravian Cemetery in Unionville.
