Wayne H. Frick of Caro, age 86, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at United Hospice Residence in Marlette. Wayne was born January 9, 1933 in Colling, the son of the late Homer and Ethel (Robinson) Frick. He graduated from Caro High School with the Class of 1952 and married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Kozel, shortly after on November 29, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayville. Wayne worked for several companies following his graduation, first at a canning factory in Caro and later the Tuscola County Conservation Department. His final position was as an inspector for Universal Engineering in Frankenmuth, retiring in 1995 after more than thirty years of service. Wayne's entire world revolved around his family. He loved watching sports, especially those his grandchildren participated in. He was happiest in nature and loved sharing that enthusiasm with the next generation. Wayne also believed that no one should be a victim of circumstance, and that each of us is the author of our destiny. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixty-six years, Geraldine Frick of Caro; three children and their spouses, Chris & Jackie Frick of Caro, Cathy & Ralph Fisher of Caro, Suzann & Glen Harding of Caro; grandchildren and their spouses, Wayne M. & Robyn Frick, William & Kelsey Frick, Becky Fisher and her husband, Scott Melton, Andy Fisher, Abbie & Shawn Rosinski, Paul & Hannah Harding; great-grandchildren, Louis, Danielle, Gwendolyn, Emmie and Jacqueline; siblings, Elaine Dwyer of Caro, Nancy Roth of Traverse City; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Hammond, Floyd Frick, Frances Porter and Clare Frick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at St. Christopher Parish, St. Joseph Church, in Mayville with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
