Wayne TerBush, age 79, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 28, 2008, following a brief illness. Wayne was born September 2, 1928 in Caro, the son of the late Floyd & Elizabeth Sophia (Kreger) TerBush and was a lifelong area resident. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. Shortly after his return, he was united in marriage to Myrtle M. Hoppe on July 17, 1954 in Caro and had celebrated forty-seven years together when she passed away in 2001. Wayne owned and operated Wayne TerBush Cement Contractors and worked in the concrete industry for over forty years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a Life Member of the Caro VFW Post #4164. Wayne also thoroughly enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He is survived by two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Randy A. TerBush of Vassar, Larry & Lynn TerBush of Sanford, and Sandra M. & David L. Kennard of Vassar; two grandchildren, Thomas and Anna Kennard of Vassar; six siblings and their spouses, Ted & Maxine TerBush of Caro, Frank & Marjorie TerBush of Caro, Maria Randall of Kingston, Hazel TerBush of Flint, Bill & Gloria TerBush of Caro, and Lee & Joanna TerBush of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Sally TerBush of Lansing and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by four siblings, Violet Buck, Vera Steele, Arthur TerBush and Norma Asperger.
