Wilbert P. “Pete” Dubs, 78, of Pigeon, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper in Saginaw.

Pete was born June 18, 1939 in Oliver Twp to the late Bert and Hazel (Cummings) Dubs.  He graduated from Owendale High School in 1957.  He married Bette Lobdell on August 24, 1957 in Linkville; she preceded him in death July 13, 2003.  He retired from the Village of Pigeon as DPW superintendent.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville.  He enjoyed playing cards, casino trips, hunting and fishing, and most of all spending time with family and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Patricia (Jay) Diebel of Sandusky, Gerald (Angela) of Owendale, Michael of St. Clair Shores and Cindy of Roseville; grandchildren Rebecca (Jeremy), Aaron, Jeremy (Kristen), Jeff (Alicia), Kevin (Sammi), Chad (Joscelyne), Derek (Michelle), and Bree Anna (Steven); great-grandchildren Christian, Madison, Chloe, Mason, Caden, Shaianne, Bryce, Jerome, Jullian, Kirsten, Calie and Peyton; great-great grandson Damon; sisters Ava (Henry) Gies of Linkville and May Deering of Pigeon; sisters-in-law Shirley Dubs of Bay Port and Valeria Dubs of Lewisville; and special family member Tina Hedge.

He was preceded in death by his brothers William and James; sisters Dorothy Hafner, Ruth Heck, Evelyn Bolzman and Betty Dunn; brothers-in-law Omar Hafner, Ray Heck, Lloyd Bolzman, Nelson Dunn and Delyle Deering.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, June 16 th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville with Rev. Chris Suggitt officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the church located at 7292 Kilmanagh Road, Pigeon, MI  48755.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church for the parking lot fund.
