Wilferd Randall

Wilferd Randall, age 76 years, of Underwood Road, Caro, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2005, at his home. He was born on February 24, 1929, in Dayton Township of Tuscola County and continued to reside in the county all of his life. Wilferd served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; and was a Purple Heart recipient, having been wounded in combat. On October 9, 1954, at the Nazarene Church in Vassar, Wilferd married the former Donnabell Allbee and they recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time out and about with his brother, Harry. Wilferd was a life member of the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. Wilferd is survived by his wife, Donnabell Randall; three children, Willie Randall of Mayville, Johnnie (Beatrice) Randall of Vassar and Donna Randall of Caro; ten grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren; five siblings, Harry (Marge) Randall of Vassar, Elsie Johnson of Caro, Arthur (Peggy) Randall of Caro, Ethel (Ray) Shaver of Caro and Thelma Robinson of Mayville; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Julia Philpot, Gracie Randall, Cecil Randall, Raymond “Jim” Randall and Gerald Randall. The funeral service will be held: AT: Collon Funeral Home in Caro ON: Thursday, November 17, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. WITH: Rev. Ray Karr, officiating Military Honors will be afforded by the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 following the service. Burial will be: AT: Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw Visitation will be: AT: Collon Funeral Home in Caro ON: Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. AND: Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a V.F.W. memorial service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wilferd Randall Family Discretionary fund c/o Donnabell Randall.
