Willard “Bill” TerBush, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Covenant Health Care-Harrison in Saginaw. He was born on July 17, 1930 in Mayville to the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Kreger) TerBush. Bills work career began in construction and then the Caro Regional Center where he worked on two different occasions; one of which ended when he left to enter the United States Army during the Korean War. The second occasion was upon returning from his service to his country. On Novmber 28, 1953 Willard TerBush and the former Gloria Cookenmaster were married at the First Methodist Church parsonage in Caro. He was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County and worked at the Regional Center until his retirement after 33 years. Bill was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church, Caro V.F.W. Post #4164, a founding member of the Tuscola County Archery Club, a life member of the N.R.A., and was active for a number of years with MSEA, having served as its president. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, crossword puzzles, reading military books, genealogy, and spending time “up North”. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; three children, Holly (Arnie) Bracy of Holland, Jeff (Donna) TerBush of Monroe, Ohio, Wendy TerBush of Clinton Township, Michigan: seven grandchildren, Laurie and Brandon TerBush of Monroe, Ohio, Jaime (Steve) Parkhouse of Chicago, Melanie (Dan) Farkas of Columbus, Heather Fox and her husband Kyle Fisher of Ann Arbor, Selina Bracy of Holland, Lee Bracy of Flint; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Maria Randall of Kingston, Hazel TerBush of Flint and Lee (Joanne) TerBush of Alexandria, Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Sally TerBush of Holt, Marjorie TerBush of Caro and Maxine TerBush of Caro; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by four brothers and three sisters, Arthur, Frank, Ted and Wayne TerBush, Violet Buck, Vera Steele and Norma Asperger. A memorial service will be held at the Caro United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Military honors will be afforded by Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 and the U.S. Army. In keeping with Bills wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Caro United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Club at the Caro United Methodist Church or to the Caro United Methodist Church.
