William Harvey “Billy” Lubeski age 34, of Elkton died Tuesday morning August 9, of injuries in a farm accident.
He was born January 24, 1977 in Newport News, VA to David Lubeski and Janet (Hurren) Lubeski.
Bill moved back to Michigan with his parents after his father’s tour of duty in the Armed Forces and grew up primarily in the Pinnebog/Elkton area. He was a 1995 graduate of Laker High School. A few years after graduation, he began working for Central Stone & Gravel in Ubly, where he was currently employed.
Bill was a fun loving guy, who enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, riding motor cycles and snowmobiles, and NASCAR.
Surviving are two children, Derek and Emily; his girlfriend, June Adamski and her children, Damon, Arihanna and Kora; his parents, Janet Lubeski of Pinnebog and Dave (Julie) Lubeski of Grant Twp; three siblings, Brian (Sara) Lubeski of Bad Axe, Alicia (Cecil) Erb of Pigeon and Angela (Austen Schmidt) Lubeski of Bay City; maternal grandparents, Bill and Helen Hurren of Standish; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Virginia Lubeski of Bad Axe; two nieces, Alivia and Bella and several aunts and uncles, many cousins and friends.
A funeral mass will be conducted 9:00 AM Saturday, August 13, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Ubly (NOT St. Felix). Rev. Fr. Joe Griffin, pastor will officiate with burial in St. Columbkille Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 9:00 PM Friday at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church after 8:00 AM Saturday.
