William "Bill" Arthur Cartwright of Caro, age 82, went home to heaven on the morning of Thursday, December 30, 2021 at his home, with his family by his side. Bill was born April 12, 1939 in Akron, the son of the late William Howard and Clara Katherine (McCreedy) Cartwright. He graduated from Fairgrove High School in 1957 and went on to work and retire as a truck driver for the Caro Regional Center. On January 14, 1961, Bill was united in marriage with the former Norma J. Bell in Mayville. Together, they shared over forty-eight years of marriage, three wonderful children, and time spent traveling. Sadly, Norma passed away on February 10, 2009. Bill found love again and married Julie Ann Lorf on October 9, 2009. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and more recently attended Shine On Ministries where his daughter Crystal is the pastor. Bill enjoyed traveling with his family all over the U.S. in the family's pop-up camper and snow-birding down to Florida. He was a huge history buff and was invested in historical family documentation. Bill was a fantastic writer and very patriotic. Time spent with his family was cherished above anything else, and his children and grandchildren were the lights of his life. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Julie Ann; beloved children, Dave (Laura) Cartwright, Crystal (Mike) Wagner, and Angela (Robert) Venema; grandchildren, Scott, Adam, Daniel, Ben, Jana, Christy, Julie, and Valerie; sixteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Jeanette Staschke and Dianne Middaugh; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dean (Sandy) Bell, Douglas (Donna) Bell, James Kraatz, Maryann Cartwright, and Marlene Cartwright; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
