William Clark Dietlin, 87, of Caseville, formerly of Romeo, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
William was born July 5, 1926 in Detroit to the late William Edward and Lillian (Hasler) Dietlin. He grew up in Armada Township. On August 18, 1951 he married Evelyn Stokes at the First Congregational Church in Romeo.
He worked as a carpenter, retiring in 1986. Having built a cottage in Caseville in 1958, the family enjoyed spending summers there. In 1990 he moved from his home in Romeo to Caseville. He had been affiliated with the Romeo First Congregational Church for many years. He greatest love was family, and he enjoyed the time he spent with them, especially boating and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn; children Dale (Paula) of Caseville, Patricia (Dennis) Mohritz of Romeo, Kathryn (Bob) Annarino of Elkton, Sandra (Bill) Young of Shelby Twp and William (Maureen) of Madison, WI; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Donna (Andy) Brassinger of Romeo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren Jeffery Annarino and Jason Dietlin, seven brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Friday, November 1st at the First Congregational Church, 102 Church St, Romeo, MI 48065. Interment will be in Romeo Cemetery. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements.
